Elbay Gasim-zada – President

 

Born on December 26, 1948 in Baku.
1971 – graduated from Architecture faculty of Azerbaijan Polytechnic University.
1971-1975 – dealt with issues of landscape architecture, researched problems of use of nature landscapes and harmonization of development of Baku districts.
1975-1989 – was working in designing institute of construction in countryside of the country. Author of general plans of a number of small-scale population aggregates. At the same time took a great interest in problems of International Program “Beaten Cobwork Architecture”. He has projects on this subject implemented in practice.
1989-2001 – was working as chief architect of Baku and head of Department of Architecture and Town Planning of Baku Mayor’s Office.
Author of more than 150 projects, majority of which have been constructed.
1998 – jointly with his son established and led the architectural firm El & En which has become one of the leading firms in Azerbaijan, well-known far beyond its borders.
1990 – has become the Honoured Architect of Azerbaijan.
2000 – has been awarded with the highest order of Azerbaijan “Shohrat”.
Currently the 1st Secretary of the Architects’ Union of Azerbaijan. Laureate of international competitions for the best project and construction of the year held in capitals of countries-members of the International Association of Architects’ Unions.
Full member and Vice-President of the International Academy of Architecture of Eastern Countries, professor of MIAA (Moscow International Academy of Architecture under the aegis of UNESCO). Participant of World congresses of architects in Chicago, Barcelona, Lausanne, Beijing and Turin. Currently lectures at Architecture faculty of Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University. Married, has two children and four grandchildren.

 

 

Anvar Gasim-Zada - Vice President

 

Was born on April 28, 1974 in Baku.
In 1995 he graduated from the faculty of International Law and International Relations of Baku State University named after M.E.Rasul-zadeh as a bachelor of international law.
Between 1996 and 2000 worked for law-enforcement agency of Azerbaijan Republic, attended an international conference of Interpol in Lyon, France.
In June 2000 left for the United Kingdom in order to learn English language and then study at one of English universities to obtain a degree of Master of law. In 2001 he scored the highest mark of International English Language Testing System (IELTS). He graduated from the University of Nottingham (UK) with an honours degree of Master of law in international commercial law. Between years 2001 and 2004 he also studied at several short courses learning computer skills and programming, basics of business etc.
In 1998 Anvar and his father Elbay Gasim-Zada have founded “El & En” Ltd.
At the moment he works as a leading specialist at legal department of “Silk Way Holding”.

 

 

 

Ravil Baybekov – Chief Architect

 

Born on April 3, 1957 in Baku.
1980 – graduated from Azerbaijan Engineering and Construction Institute, specialization - architect. 1980-1988 – was working as an architect at the Planning Institute “Bakgiprogor”.
1990-1996 – was leading architect at “Modus” design firm.
Since 1998 has been working at El & En, has become its chief architect in 2006.
Member of the executive board of Architects’ Union of Azerbaijan.
Laureate of a number of international competitions held by the International Association of Architects’ Unions and “Ugur” award.
Married, has a son.

 

 

 

Zaur Gurbanaliyev –Chief Engineer

 

Born on May 25, 1982 in Baku.
2003 – graduated from Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, specialization - architect. His diploma project of a Business Centre was selected for the International Competition of Diploma Projects of Graduates of CIS Institutes.
Since January 2005 has been working at El & En.
Member of Architects’ Union of Azerbaijan.
Married, has a son.

 

 

Maksud Mammadov – Leading Architect

 

Born on February 22, 1983 in Baku.
2004 – graduated from Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, specialization – architect. Diploma project entitled “Multifunctional business-centre on the coast of Baku bay” Since 2008 has been working at El & En.
2008-participated in the European Architecture Students Assembly which took place in Dublin (Ireland).

 

 

 

 

Lala Karimova – Designer

 

Born on August 29, 1985 in Baku.
2007 – graduated from Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, specialization – architect-designer. Her diploma project “ Architectural and constructive model of bionic form” was selected for the competition of diploma projects held in Vologda (Russian Federation).
Since 2008 has been working at El & En.
